I don't understand why the Democrats are so angry. This is still a Pelosi CR.

This is still a continuing resolution from the previous budgets put together by Nancy Pelosi. The only difference that I can see is the removal of congressional pay raise and the hurricane relief remains.
Again, it's just a continuing resolution. The federal government will still spend as much as they spent last year plus hurricane relief and some COLA.

So basically punting/keeping status quo until the new Congress is installed where all 3 branches are controlled by Rs. Seems like a good strategy.

Congress will get their raise if there is no language to block it. It's been blocked every year since 2009. Without the block, they get COL raises yearly.

Let's hope so, but I have my doubts the pubs can get it done. They can frick up a wet dream.
