Agree, NM. It may well be that DeSantis is the only hope for Trump to stay out of jail. I don't think Trump realizes this yet, but he likely will soon.
Of course, as the goods and services system further collapses, the political dynamics will change accordingly. The next few years are going to be hell for any politician who holds power and is deemed responsible. Scapegoating will be narrative du jour.
