Therefore, I'm going to kneel during the national anthem from now on until something is done.

Do you realize how dumb this is? Standing for the anthem and the flag does not mean that you agree with everything our government does or everything that happens in this country or even in the white house. It is meant to be a unifying act of honoring our nation by all citizens of this country no matter their political beliefs or moral standards. We are one nation after all, no matter what. Right?

This is the point most of us don't get about these dumb protests that are taking place during our nations anthem, at a football game that is supposed to be a neutral event with no politics involved, while totally showing disrespect to our flag and anthem. That's the point.

Well I've personally seen threats to quit paying taxes, push secession movements, and foment civil war on this very forum.

People seem to cope with perceived problems in different ways.

Most of us here don't agree on anything our government does and we wish we didn't have one, but goddamit we stand for the anthem

this is no longer about issues

it's about virtue signaling your hatred of trump

Good. I would never do that anyway bc it's dumb and disrespectful. Even though I would actually have a factual reason behind doing it, unlike these idiots.

And? Should they lose their jobs for that, too?

Glad you’ve finally come around to see that these so called problems blacks face from police are just that. Perceived. Welcome aboard.

It's even dumber when you factor in the reality that the entire Black Lives Matter movement is based on a false narrative that gets good people killed.

Every single one of you virtue-signalers who vow to "fight the power" against police officers, most of whom do nothing wrong, are hurting this country. Enjoy your short-term virtue signal tingles. Please do not call law enforcement when your house is being robbed or your SO is being raped and beaten in front of you. Handle it yourself.

Well our military should stop wasting our tax dollars on this recruiting propaganda. Can't be mad when it blows up in your face.

NFL just wants to get into Europe, Europe hates America right now

Didn't all this blow up this week? I don't remember it's being a league wide thing with owners in week 1 and 2. They went to London this week

Which team didn't come out of the locker room at all? The one with a ranger with a bronze star, who came out by himself and took part or something creating even more buzz....

If you show up at my business wearing an ANTIFA or BLM shirt, I will fire you. If you show up wearing a MAGA hat, I will fire you. You signed a contract explicitly stating you agree to uphold the values of my company and leave your politics at home. Violation of any company policy is grounds for disciplinary action up to and including termination.

You are right. It's easier on a smaller scale though

The NFL doesn't have trump sized balls.

ESPN would rip them a new one, soros would sick Antifa on tailgates, Will Smith will make another CTE movie. Goodel bent over

That's why goodel would cave if he really wanted to stop them, I think he's got a bigger plan. Whether European expansion, social media buzz to move into the app business, some fairy tale ending where in week 7 they all stand and "football saved America" or some bullshite. All I know is it's orchestrated so some end game is in mind

I'm just going to watch the games and ignore the scripted reality TV aspect.

It seemed easy enough when the cowboys wanted to wear a decal honoring the murdered police. Or when Brandon Marshal wanted to bring awareness to mental health. I could go on. It’s pretty clear where Goodell and the NFL stands. Or kneels, I mean.

There is no positive outcome here for the NFL. Even if, god forbid, a terrorist attack or some such thing happens and the players suddenly pretend to love America, most people will see right through that.

It’s your choice to watch. I don’t know why you would when they are telling you right to your face to frick off.

I'm with you. Just saying whatever he is doing money is his motive.

Maybe he is being promised things personally, being promised thing contractually for the league, maybe he is being threatened with negative coverage or CTE research, who knows.

When it comes to billions of dollars, audiences in the 10s of millions, have an entire nation and even Europe talking, it gets way more complicated than whatever goodel personally agrees with

Cool. They don't. So why can't Trump and his flock just get the frick over it?
