Was on Reddit and they were going hard on Biden about cancer bc Palestine can't get cancer treatment.

I am surprised to be so strongly in support one or the other

When you look across the political spectrum from right to left, you will see, for the most part, ideology rooted in logic slowly transition into ideology rooted in emotion. Therefore, for many, "leftism" largely becomes an exercise in faith, which leads to devotion and zealotry. Ironically, many on the left reject organized religion only to end up deifying their political ideas.

It doesnt help that the establishment left has wallowed in the mud of identity politics and the demonization of the political right for decades. Now these kids believe they are fighting a holy war against a great satan.

That's what I've been saying for years. The Left has abandoned religion, only to ultimately still be religious in the practition of secular progressive wokeism.

This was absolutely proven to me when my liberal cousins on social media, after the election results came in, were all over socials absolutely torching their own conservative family members for getting Trump elected. I literally read the comment, verbatim, "It is important at this time, that we listen to the words of Jesus Christ when he said 'Forgive them, Lord, for they know not what they do'. We must now try to forgive those close to us for getting this tyrant elected. It's not their fault that they were deceived by Satan."

frickers who haven't stepped foot inside a church for 30 years were suddenly virtue signaling religiously chastising the devout Christians in the family just because of who they voted for.

And I'll not lie, their behavior has turned me against them. I'm not some Right-wing nut because, trust me, I understand that the Establishment Uniparty is wholly corrupt and "both sides" are just two sides of the same trick coin. But I'm hard lined against their extremist ideology to the point that I don't want to interact with them at all any more, in any way at all.

Being in my mid-40s now, it is increasingly more evident to me every passing day that my time on this earth is over half spent. I no longer want to spend any more of my time voluntarily subjecting myself to the toxicity of political zealots. I just don't have the desire to put the energy into it any more.

noble discovery.

I am further along in age and would advise all to spend an increasing amount of time improving yourself, learning truths, discover more perspectives making sure yours come from truth, behaving by principles that you know to be of strong foundation and goodness, and giving these intangibles to friends and family when they become approachable to such. Find and share peace.

Take care of yourself and yours. Life is beautiful for the most part - and you have control of it- for the most part.
