Who on here is naive enough to think and ABC just came up with this idea because of trump?

For those of you realizing the odds of this being the first is nil, how many other events do you think the news has fabricated? Do you think it was limited to wars? What else can they fabricate?

Imagine how easy it would be to do this before the internet became a thing.

This is no where near the first, and it's been going on for at least 20 years.

I worked for a news station in Lafayette around the turn of the millennium.

Our competitor would run stories all the time, use old video and not label it as file. The custom was to put a label that said "File Video" over it so the viewer would know that the video wasn't connected to the story.

They would even do stuff like say "we're going live" when the report was taped. Got a reporter fired over it when they cued up the wrong part of the tape, he made a mistake and cursed before he started again, but it aired as they had said it was a "live report."

There's no integrity left in the news business, unfortunately. Every time you hear "sources" bet that it's made up and you'd probably win that bet 75-80% of the time.

Those were government propaganda.

This was a "news" network deliberately lying about what a video represented.

Remember how outlandish Wag the Dog seemed when it came out? No way could the news fake something like a war. It would be too obvious. Oops.

I recall something about dead children washing up on the beaches of Turkey or Italy, maybe both, purely for photo ops and propaganda purposes.

Granted that, yes I do have empathy for the pawns being used by the Soros's of the world, the way in which they were used to try and sway public opinion for the European Invasion was incredulous.
