No longer flying little buddy retired after 32 years. Is that enough time to have an opinion on military actions within the SWA theater for you? I mean after all you seem to feel only true warriors should have an opinion.

Iran is massive. They aren't close to Iraq whatsoever militarily, and their terrain is a bitch. Then you add any help from Russia, like say, what happened in Syria, and you are in for some pain.

True, and at least that many are considered non-deployable, although there would be many waivers in a major conflict.
