Why does there have to be a grand motive? Maybe the guy just lost a ton of his money and decided to go out with a bang? Having a lot of money and being able to do whatever the frick you want could keep a psychopath happy I would think.

Wrong! Once the FBI/government/law enforcement gives a manufactured motive it gives independent investigators the ability to start sifting through their lies and prove it was probably a coverup.

I did get a nice chuckle when the details were coming out about how he was very wealthy because he was a professional video poker player

It is 99.999% certain that he was a Muslim preparing for martyrdom in the days leading up to the attack. They don't want to admit it for whatever reason but it is what happened.
