The article in the OP mostly discusses the high state income and sales tax. And yes, those are problems that our myopic plaintiff lawyer governor cannot or will not acknowledge.
But the underlying problems are more complex and harder to solve than merely voting JBE out of office. Louisiana has terrible demographics and a terrible electorate. That can only be fixed by inward migration of more intelligent people, or by better educating the existing electorate. Both are infeasible, at least in the short term.
The only Louisianians doing well under this governor are environmental legacy lawsuit plaintiff lawyers. JBE's idea of economic progress is his cronies suing big corporations.
As others have said we also need to amend the state constitution to allow spending cuts across all departments. What a backwards law.

Louisiana is not losing population. We have residential and commercial buildings going up all over East Baton Rouge Parish. There is growth all over southeastern Louisiana.
