There may be a progression. His brain operates like it's back in the early 60's sometimes (go play the radio, I mean the record player).

So I'd expect it's more likely we'd hear him say something like "the negroes" or the "the blacks," but you never know.

Problem is that Joe is fake as hell. He will literally lie to your face until he gets caught and has always fallen back on smooth-talking his way out of the bag. That was really his biggest talent as a politician.

Now his ability to smooth-talk is gone, and he is trying to sort out in his jumbled head this new I'm-the-guy-of-the-colored-people persona.

Yep. I read recently that he formerly had a stutter, but was able to keep it under control. Now with dementia, he is losing that ability.
Having dementia and a stutter is a bad combination.
