I graduated HS in 1989. One of my science teachers during my HS years was on an ozone hole and greenhouse effect doom kick. One particular snow, she claimed we better enjoy it, because winter would end sooner than later.

35 plus years later we are coming out of a winter with above average snowfall and very cold January. So much for that.
