How come we make LEOs wear body cams but not Elected officials?

Topic came up at work today about why we make those that enforce our laws wear body cams...but those that make them don’t have to.

No politician would ever vote for this, but body cams on politicians would make it more difficult to back channel and broker shady deals — while at their office. They could still do this the moment they are home with no camera required, but none the less this would kill time on the hill that now allows for that.

Would you be in favor of this? Just curious.
