Question, when a property is sold the mineral rights can be retained by the previous owner for 10 years and if production is started during that 10 year period the previous owner retains the rights indefinitely. Who will be assessed the additional property tax? The previous owner who is reaping the benefits of a oil/gas well or the current owner who's not getting a dime from drilling?
