House Dems launching probe into Whitaker

A group of Democratic lawmakers announced on Wednesday that they are launching an investigation into acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker's involvement in a company the government deemed a scam.
The lawmakers said that they sent seven letters in hopes of receiving documents about Whitaker's role at World Patent Marketing. The letters were sent to people such as Whitaker and the former founder and CEO of the company.
Court filings indicate that Whitaker received regular payments of $1,875 while serving on the company's advisory board. LINK

That's pretty weak at this point.
But, Whitaker did send a letter to someone who had complained to World Patent Marketing that they had been scammed, and threatened to sue them for defamation -- not a good look.

Good. As long as they are screwing around with this, it leaves them little time to mess with the newly more regressive, and consequently more fair (to me) tax code.

What is the context here? I’m guessing this means absolutely nothing....since you seem to have issues with relevance....but I’m willing to indulge.
