the philosophy of overlooking her crimes on behalf of not creating friction is the reason why Trump got the nod over the other elites. The establishment is constantly worried about how their brand will look in the future and therefore justifies being passive pussies in the present. The mandate is simple, just do the right thing now and let the chips fall where they may in the future.

Congress can work on more than one thing at a time, right? Not a waste of time at all, especially considering the magnitude of the allegations. National security has been potentially compromised. Justice needs to be served but this reckless behavior exhibited by HRC and her staff need to be made an example of for future administrations.

Right. The Special Prosecutor law expired a while back, but the AG can designate an independent counsel.

The president can just stay out of it.

Comey's complicity isn't clear but it came out recently that the FBI "investigation" never had a grand jury called in its behalf by the DOJ. So despite the BS no investigation of Clinton's illegal server has ever been done. The Grand Jury has to issue subpoenas and so forth.

Personally, if I were president, I would fry the bigger fish first starting with Fast and Furious
