It’s an easier stance to take. The PAC-12 has already put loans in place to to cover loses of not playing. And the left coast eats this stuff up. So yes it’s easier for them to just nod and agree than stand against the nonsense.

I’m willing to bet the big 10ish has a similar system to provide cover to just go along. And a lot of it involves the state government in which the schools reside. California and Michigan were not going to allow sporting events for political reasons and the loan program means the colleges do not have to fight it.
