Meet Stephen.

Here he is in 2020, volunteering for Bernie Sanders at the U of Cincinnati campus.

At the time, he was an atheist, secular humanist, Democratic socialist, depressed, alcoholic, porn addicted drug abuser.

His life was a disaster. He got into Marxism in college. He spent the next 15 years seeking meaning and redemption through political action.

He began to see the value of the evangelical upbringing his mother gave him. He began to appreciate his mother’s faith he’d rejected years before. He began to feel grateful for the cultural Christianity he’d experienced in his Kentucky childhood.

The change in his life has been glorious to watch. He is humble, repentant, and full of joy. He’s in a men’s group reading classics like Augustine and Calvin. Here he is in the same spot on Cincy's campus three years later with his pastor sharing the gospel with students.

This is the way to fix this country. There is no other way. No Trump. No DeSantis. No Haley.

John Cooper's book - Wimpy, Weak and Woke - How Truth Can Save America is free on Kindle this week. I encourage all of faith to read it.

Nice story. One person at a time. No quick fixes are fixing anything.

Truth…only a complete change of heart toward God through Christ Jesus will ever lead to any real attitude change in our country and the world.

While I applaud him for becoming enlightened, most people on the left do not possess that same mentality nor capability.

Great story indeed. Thanks for sharing and God bless him.

BTW - if you are able to confirm what was the turning point for him. That is key.

One thing we need to remember though is that he knew, had the a foundation set by his loving mother, who I'm sure prayed for him a gazillion times a day. Problem is there are a lot more people out there that don't have that foundation set early anymore, so the approach is different, as they have no reference point at all. There are a lot of people out there that don't even know the most basic of Bible stories. Wouldn't know that the story of the Arc and Noah is a Bible story, but just a movie with Russell Crowe.
