He adds guns "shouldn't be a partisan issue," even though he says he's prepared to pass new "common sense" gun laws without Republican support.

On the issue of banning assault weapons, Kelly asked Northam what he will do about the ones Virginians already possess. "Will you confiscate them?" Kelly asks. "No ma'am, not at this stage," Northam said, "We're looking at banning the sales of assault weapons ... that would be what we would start with."

Look, we aren’t coming for your guns folks.

"I support common-sense gun laws" is code for, "I hate the United States Constitution."

The Coonman is only correct about one thing: the 2nd Amendment shouldn’t be a partisan issue.

Absolutely, it has. Currently, there are quite a few Virginia counties that have declared themselves 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Counties and the number is increasing. All of these counties have the support of their sheriff's departments who will not enforce any state laws passed that the incoming Democrats and current Governor "Coonman" will introduce. My county will be quite likely joining that group on December 4 at the next Board of Supervisors meeting. Newly elected sheriff here says he will support it, too.

It’s only a matter of time before a squad of about 10 guys come to your house and search your property for any guns. Finding one will result in jail time. It might be 50 years from now but it’s coming.

Virginia's Constitution also protects our gun rights.

Article I, section 13, of the Virginia Constitution provides in part: ''That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state, therefore, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed...

We are definitely going to fight a lot of court battles.
