Yes, it is (D)ifferent. Always has been, and likely always will be. That's the reality of the world we find ourselves in. We can either react emotionally about it, or set out to try to win elections and consolidate more power in the hands of the Republican party. Succeeding at the latter is far better than the alternative.

I wouldn't say this. They just know that if the democrats get both chambers and hold the presidency, it's going to be ruinous for the country. So they have to play the game to not allow that to happen.
