Bingo. A lack of leadership has shown up in a lot of area such over this. The lazy way is blanket bans. It takes critical thinking skills to target things that make a difference.

This issue has shown that a majority of the public cannot think for themselves, neither can their leaders.

At least with that article you aren’t triggering conspiracy theorists with nonsense like “The government doesn’t want you to be self-sufficient or patriotic!”

It's mind boggling people still believe this fallacy.

We are trying to protect health care resources (which apparently isnt that big of a problem) no stop the virus.

"Flatten the curve" just prolongs recovery, it doesn't stop the virus.

Either the people can or can not purchase seeds and plants?

NPR, USAToday, DETROIT NEWS has clearly told you they can't.

If people are trigger by it, GREAT. They should be outraged! Calling them names is childish on your part.

I would be interested in the thought processes in which some areas are picking winners and losers.

And how is it that you protect healthcare resources in this scenario?

By stretching the cases over an extended period of time, not having a "bloom" for lack of better term use up more resources than we have. Putting idiotic rules in place like saying people can't buy seeds just sows distrust in the government and causes more people to disregard possible good advice/rules.

As part of a greater ban that is not focused specifically on seeds like you tried to make this thread about. You were going for an angle that didn’t play out the way you intended, and you’re the one upset that people didn’t just jump right on, “The government has taken my garden!!”

Given distribution issues, you would think that growing your own food would be a priority, rather than a prohibition.

And working in your own garden or yard seems a good way to self-isolate, in any case.

I do not have a source to cite however I remember some butthead legislation about not allowing growing a garden for food.

Have you seen the curve? It's self explanatory.

We aren't stopping the virus. We are prolonging its affects.

I never said stopping the virus. I said stop spreading it. You took those words to mean dead in its tracks because you, as always, are ready to assume things not said, when I very well meant stop spreading it as quickly. I know the direction this will go from here between us, so it’s best to just let it end here. Neither of us are going to agree with each other. Ever.

Right.

Some of these laws are so rigid they destroy the intent of "distancing." Bootlicker are incapable of telling the difference.

By having people use reasonable caution. Banning the sale of seeds, plants, and other gardening tools is not a reasonable caution tactic, and if anything, will cause people to believe the rest of the order is bullshite too.

Yeah she’s a dumb bitch but so are you. The ban is only for stores that are bigger than 50,000 sq feet so the only places effected are big stores. It helps small businesses you fake news frick, as you always are. You make republicans look like idiots.
