Ginsberg has stated that Roe v. Wade was judicial reach. She believes that abortion rights should come from the legislative branch the way it does in Europe. Not from court activism.

Roe was an awful decision where the ruling was pulled out of thin air. Even pro-abortion people readily admit to that. They are just too enthralled with killing black babies to care.

you are arguing but there is more medical rick associated with abortion than is generally believed to be the case. Fine.

That is still an argument regarding “medical risk,“ and the issue of “medical risk“ remains the most important issue related to justification for this particular legislation and credentialing.

You assert that a greater risk justifies the legislation.

Thank you for confirming my point.

You misunderstand the point I made in that post. I will not yet opine as to whether you did so intentionally, because I frankly have no idea who you are. It is entirely possible that you simply do not have a very good understanding of the legal issues related to THIS thread and THIS specific case.

This thread arises from oral arguments in a specific case, related NOT to a law banning abortion (your “murder” argument), but rather a law regarding procedural requirements for facilities which provide abortion services).

Yes, the “murder“ question is a significant part of the OVERALL abortion debate. Personally, I think that terminology is moronic, but the issue is indeed an important part of the debate.

As to THIS case, that is simply not an issue. The state of Louisiana acknowledged that abortion is (at least for now) legal, and the legislature came up with a set of policies and procedures which nonetheless attempted to curtail it.

The legality of that effort is the issue in THIS case. And that issue will be resolved, at least in part, based upon comparative medical risk.

Good Lord man.........just talk like a normal person. In trying to show you are more educated and intelligent, you are actually doing the opposite. We all think you sit around with a Thesaurus, dictionary and Westlaw.

I am genuinely curious as to what words or phrases from the post in question you found to be “pretentious” or whatever other adjective you might choose to use. The only word that I might not have used in an oral discussion is “opine.”

I write using the same vocabulary, grammar and syntax that I use in verbal communication. I do occasionally use a dictionary to confirm spelling.
