Why in Georgia? I would expect this in Cali, Washington or somewhere more progressive or being overrun with eco terrorists. But, what is the significance, if any, of them being in Georgia?

Ted Turner, also the location was thought to be secure from earthquakes, coastal flooding, hurricanes, etc.

It wasn't Ted Turner, it was some group in Kansas. In the documentary called Dark Clouds over Elberton they find out exactly who did it. They find the old letters and everything. The documentary was free on Tubi, may still be.

Seems like Kansas would have been a great place for it then.

Shipping those stones would probably be costly. The granite was supplied by the well respected Georgia granite industry. Quarries pull up granite from rich pockets that were created from magma flows that stretch for hundreds of miles that are also responsible for creating Stone Mountain.

I’ve visited the guidestones in person. They are literally in the middle of nowhere out in a field (although they are fenced in). Very, very strange.

The first line about 500M is interesting considering the world had 4.43B people at the time of the inscription.

Too many ‘naders; they’d end up in Colorado somewhere.

I’m watching this now. Seems reasonable to me
