The motto of the infamous SS in Nazi Germany was "Meine Ehre Heisst Treue".
Translated..."My Honor is Loyalty"
Your assessment is correct; "loyalty" to the Maga cause and leadership is the supreme criteria for selection for Republican candidates and has led to many poor, unqualified candidates. Think it will be difficult for the GOP to suddenly hit the brakes; endorsement of candidates by the administration no longer holds the power it did in the past and is probably more of an albatross ...expect a good tail whipping from the Democrats in the upcoming midterms.

lower voter turnout, look at the demographic that has moved to the area since the last election, WHITE WOMEN, etc. It could happen.

Voters gave Trump and Republicans a clear mandate in 2024
No they didn't. Only 64.1% of registered voters turned out. Of those, only 49.8% voted for Trump. That's 31.9% of registered voters.
Let me repeat that: Only 31.9% of registered voters voted for Donald Trump for president in 2024. More people stayed home than voted for Trump, and he didn't even get half of those who did vote.
That's not a mandate, much less a "clear mandate", it's not even a majority.
I really don't understand where all this perceived love of Donald Trump in the electorate is coming from. It certainly isn't showing up in job approval polling.

So Kamala is more popular than George Washington because she got more votes?
What kind of kindergarten bullshite is that?
Of all of the people who could vote for Trump, only 31.9% of them did. That just isn't very popular much less a mandate.
