Absolute truth.
People refuse to help themselves (training, moving, education) and sit on their arse waiting for government to help them.
I have no sympathy for those folks. I love the folks who took initiative and bettered their lives.

Maybe y'all read it differently. JD and I have a good bit in common in terms of upbringing. You can come from the post-industrial ruin and make something of yourself without the textile or automotive part manufacturing plant that left town.
They won't help themselves because they don't need to as the government cheese always arrives every month.
And yes, people can excel no matter their upbringing, but using an obviously high IQ individual as an example to point to and say "See, anyone can do it!" is disingenuous. The average 100IQ dude isn't leaving Appalachia and ending up at Harvard and the Vice Presidency. He's looking for a way to support himself. Or just live.
And many end up making poor choices.

This bears repeating:

Small to medium sized businesses are about to get royally fricked.

People are always shook when the market takes a hard drop or correction. It took me 4 months to make what I lost in 3 days. A whole .022 of my market exposure. Same as in the past under different administrations yet miraculously I'm ahead. It's like fans claiming the game is over in the first inning. Problem is people live in the moment

Funny, the long term outlook on tarriffs is worse than this. I'd say some of us are paying attention.

I assure you. Every time the stock market dropped more than 100 points during Biden’s term there was a 3 page thread about how he was destroying the economy on this very board.

You are correct. It is also correct that the market it not the economy. The market can flourish while the economy suffers. Or the reverse.
