First Amendment is finna eat.
AMENDMENT I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

EDIT: looks like some podunk mayor is about to get a visit from the AUSA. Time to move it up to big boy court.

A Mississippi church is suing the city of Greenville after police shut down its drive-in service this week in accordance with a city ban on the practice amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The suit comes after eight uniformed Greenville police officers reportedly issued $500 tickets to congregants who refused to leave a parking lot where a drive-in service was being conducted Wednesday, the ADF said in a statement announcing the legal challenge.
The group contends that church congregants stayed in their cars with their windows rolled up while listening to Pastor Arthur Scott preach from inside the empty Go Church building.

Where's the ACLU?
They should be all over the freedom to peaceably assemble part. Especially since you can't use Covid to argue that it wasn't peaceable because everyone was in their cars. And they ignored other nearby large gatherings of cars so there's also an equal protection issue.

And I just told the wife two days ago that it's a shame drive-in picture shows aren't still a thing. Business would be booming - except in Greenville it appears.

Hey...Poindexter. The "mutants" are the ones who made such a thing necessary.

The black pastor of this church was on Tucker the other night and was asked who put this "law" into effect.
The pastor said the mayors name and added "who's a Biden supporter."
I about spit out my drink.

DJT needs to call the pastor and offer his support.

Where's the ACLU?
"I have continued directing the unpopular fight for the rights of agitation, as director of the ACLU...I am for socialism, disarmament and ultimately for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control by those who produce wealth. Communism is, of course, the goal."

The Church will lose this lawsuit

Will? Maybe.
Should? No. There was literally zero risk of transmission from everyone staying in their vehicles AND the city ignored a nearby Sonic where people hung out in their vehicles and ate.

You’ll lose your shite when the church wins.

The courts are about to eat these mayors and governors alive.

Small church. Limited resources. They rigged up a radio station like those Christmas light shows that went out to the parking lot.
This story bothers me. Additionally, the tickets were issued to every person, not every car.
