Fernando Rodriguez-Bernstein is furious about Sessions re. Sanctuary Cities

FRB just got into a yelling match live on air with Rennis during the Rennis Rinke Experience. He's saying the federal government cannot just pull funding and grant money because cities don't comply with their illegal orders. Fernando is saying that this is a gross violation of the constitution and further cements his view of Trump as a fradulent leader. Rennis of course shot back that there is nothing in the constitution to support Bernstein's views, and that the feds can pull funding at any time they want. Who do you agree with?

Weilder-Sledge. Until he weighs in I don't have an opinion.

See. that is where his thinking goes wrong. The orders are to enforce the laws of the United States. it is the sanctuary cities that are defying the law.
Obviously, I agree with Rennis.

Fernando is saying that Republicans can't champion federalism for decades and suddenly pivot to Federal power then it suits them.

During desegregation the Feds sent in Federal law enforcement and the National Guard to enforce it in the Southern states. I don't see how withholding Federal aid is anything different in this scenario when cities and states are not in compliance with Federal law.

Sure they can. Where is the law against that and Trump isn't a Republican.

He's first cousins with Seattle radio legend and retired TCU professor, Waldo Graham Schwalke-Eulenberg. Or WGSE as he's known affectionally on the streets of Seattle.

Fernando just countered that point saying it would only be justified if the funding pulled had to do with police or immigration grants. Otherwise, it would not be legal.
