You base your an alignment on an issue on whether something will come of it in Washington fricking DC?
I’m guessing the decision for alignment on this one was much easier and more immediate for you, SFP, and company.

No.
My "Alignment" comes from the literal words that were used.
Which would apply as well in court. Nothing will come of it.

None of that mattered when they impeached Trump...twice..for NOTHING.
None of that mattered when Bob Muellers Merry Men and Jim Comey were running that Crossfire Hurricane BS.
None of that mattered when Jack Smith and his clowns were raiding Mar a Lago
On and on and on.
But it matters NOW. Why is that?

That happens when your charges are fabricated whole cloth.

Ditto.
Which is why this will never be prosecuted.

They said the military can/must refuse unlawful orders and needs to follow the law and Constitution.
Isn't that merely stating existing law?
And from that, we're supposed to jump to Democrats calling for a military coup??
That's pretty lame, even for FoxNews standards.

They're seeking the get ahead of developments by planting seeds of doubt in the minds of some members of the military who are impressionable. The entire goal of their psyop is to undermine faith to n the chain of command.
At some point in the next year (may be closer to 6-9 months), there will be widespread rioting that warrants invoking the Insurrection Act to quell.
That's likely what they're seeking to undermine.

quote:Yeah, I do expect them to do that. All service members are responsible for knowing what a lawful order is. Why wouldn’t an officer, of all people, be expected to? They literally get formal instruction on it including a full course in constitutional and military law before commissioning because applying that judgment is a core part of the job.
Do you believe it is prudent to expect an Army Officer to listen an order then make a legal opinion on whether or not he should follow it?
It’s a baseline responsibility built into their oath, their training, and the law itself (UCMJ 92).
It's one of the reasons the officer corps exists in the first place.

Unfortunately, most of this is behind a paywall. Matt Taibbi had a great piece about how Slotkin was a fumbling dope when grilled about this adventure, but Trump also went full retard.
Yes, Both Sides.
quote:
Days before Thanksgiving, when I must be like millions of Americans in just wanting to reach five days of permission to ignore the madness, the country is unraveling. Unlike most of us, who will look for ways this week to set aside differences for the good of our families, our political leaders are bitterly, senselessly escalating. American politics has become a suicidal farce, in which two teams locked in mutual hatred keep trying to finish the “guilty” side off, but instead end up cheek-to-cheek, dancing us all toward the cliff-edge of history. The idiotic framework has never been more evident than in the fast-worsening “illegal orders” crisis, where both sides are clearly at fault:
Yes, Both Sides.

Trump should have baited them by agreeing with them.. If they meant more than the literal, it would come out pretty quickly.
