The WB memo says there is a word-for-word transcript that was "produced—as is customary—by the White House Situation Room". That is obviously the one that Trump was referring to when he said there was a word-for-word, comma-for-comma, transcript.

That last statement obviously refers to the transcription made from handwritten notes that was released by the White House and misrepresented as a word-for-word transcript.

There were two transcripts: the word-for-word transcript that was "locked down" after the call, and the one that was created from contemporaneous handwritten notes taken by those who listened in.

Just so there is no mistake about this, below is the excerpt for the WB's memo discussing this. SEE FOR YOURSELF that the White House is MISREPRESENTING the "transcript" they released.

First let's get this straight. this is NOT a whistle blower. This is a leaker.

The leaker had 2nd/3rd hand info, was not present in any meetings discussing the call, and did not listen in on the call. The leaker had Schiff lawyers write a report in which none of them spoke to any of these 2nd/3rd hand people (supposedly). The leaker did NOT notify IG that he spoke to Congress first. The leaker worked with Biden in the past. The leaker is biased.

The prez of Ukraine said there was no quid pro quo, no pressure, and had no idea any future weapons purchases were postponed. He was on the call.

For clarity's sake Trump requested the Ukraine prez look into 2016 election meddling, he mentioned the Bidens because Sleepy Joe bragged about holding up $1 BILLION if a prosecutor was NOT fired. This alone should be alarming to anyone. A US VP blackmailed a foreign prez. Biden got what he wanted for $1 billion. IT WAS NOT HIS MONEY!!!!! YES!! INVESTIGATE THIS!!!!!! YOU SHOULD BE CALLING EVERY CONGRESSMAN REQUESTING THEY INVESTIGATE BIDEN.

Trump releases the transcript of his call. If you do not believe that the transcript is word for word, then look at it as if this is a version of the call as perceived by whoever wrote this transcript which was NOT Trump. You have this version of the call, the leaker version (who never heard one word of the call), and the prez of Ukraine's version of the call.
Summary of call: Investigate 2016 election meddling, no quid pro quo, investigate corruption admitted by VP Biden. Remember, what needs to be investigated are Bidens actions prior to the 2016 election. No one is investigating Bidens actions today. No one is spying on Biden to try to dig up dirt.

This has been quite notable in my mind. When I first heard this accusation and the high level accusers involved, highest levels possible more or less, I was expecting follow up detail about some shocking international movie-worthy corruption.

To this day, nothing specific of note.
