The first inkling I had the FBI was corrupt is when they refused to apologize to Richard Jewell after falsely accusing him of the bombing and then refusing to apologize.

So much hubris.

When you have no conscience, saying sorry doesn't happen. Frick the entire FBI for ruining a hero's life

Our investigative and Intelligence communities are Corrupt. Why Wray and Haspill would not want to clean house is beyond me. They would be Hero’s.

FBI and the 1996 Olympics

I stopped watching CNN in 1990, when Bernie Shaw was hold up in that hotel in Baghdad, shitting himself because of the bombing.

I smelled the crap the FBI was putting out about Richard Jewell in 1996 and lost all respect for them then.

It was unfortunate what happened with Jewell, but under the circumstances he had to be considered a suspect.

It's a shame it was taken too far.

He being a suspect is not the issue. After the FBI cleared him, they would do nothing to help him rebuild all that they had taken from him.

The biggest sin in the whole ordeal was leaking that Jewell was a person of interest.

Then the FBI doubled down by not clearing him for months. They drug their feet hoping more evidence would surface. Once it became clear to people he was no longer a suspect, the FBI started receiving criticism for falsely accusing a hero. They desperately wanted him to be involved.

Then they tripled down by not apologizing or admitting their mistakes.

Fact: there was a veteran state agent who from the get go adamantly told them it could not have been Jewel because he could vouch for Jewels whereabouts. They ignored him.
