Just have a connection with those because my Dad would always watch them when my brothers and I were kids. I still chuckle because I can hear his commentary at certain parts in each movie.

my grandfather was in the Pacific theater. He passed when i was a small child. My mom alwasy said her father was soft spoken and didnt talk about the war. I can only imagine what he saw and went thru.

I expected Netflix and Amazon to have a bunch of war movies for Memorial Day, but I guess they are saving their special offers for Pride month.

Memorial Day goes back to the Civil War so I will go with one of my all time favorites; not just Memorial Day, but all days! Shenandoah and Jimmy Stewart is one of my all favorite actors.
