A 13-year-old boy and his parents were arrested after Minneapolis police seized guns, ammunition and explosive devices from their Desoto street house. Ramsey County Sheriff Jack Serier said the boy threatened a classmate at the Academy For Sciences and Agriculture in Vadnais Heights. Chris and Lisa Stowe are being held in the Ramsey County jail where they could face charges of negligent storage of firearms

Armed with an investigative search warrant, deputies entered the teenager's home and found him home alone. But they found more. "In the home, a cache of weapons was found along with at least one ballistic vest, thousands of rounds of ammunition and at least one explosive device," Serier said.

Good job!!

We're taking their guns away folks. Have to do it. Have to do it. We have a lot of really crazy people, and we are going to take their guns. No due process.

LOL

I got more than that in my truck right now. There is an AK and probably 600 rounds, an AR10 and about 350 rounds (Its more expensive ammo). a 12 guage and a glock 19.

Heaven forbid they ever look in my house.

Is that what cops who get their weapons stolen from their squad cars get charged with?

What? You mean that thin blue line protects and serves...themselves?

There need to be laws in place so people can't have these.

Is there a link? Not that I even need to verify this isn’t some ridiculous source because if anything is even half true in that article it’s absolute insanity.

Bullshite.

Either you have facts for a real warrant or you don't.

Judges now hand out warrants like flapjacks in Groundhog Day.

A warrant may be issued for any of the following:

(1) evidence of a crime;

(2) contraband, fruits of crime, or other items illegally possessed;

(3) property designed for use, intended for use, or used in committing a crime; or

(4) a person to be arrested or a person who is unlawfully restrained.

Is this just a "sniffing around, snooping warrant?"

It was probably a fugging bag of plant fertilizer.., aka "explosive device."

Oh, and if they ever came to my house with just an "investigative" search warrant, there would be blood.

Explosive device have anything to do with it?

“Device” seems to imply more than “material.”

Maybe a big fireworks artillery shell, like these?

I mean, those go off like a flashbang grenade. New Year's wasn't that long ago, might have had some left over (it was colder than shite this year, lotsa folks didn't finish off what they had)
