My understanding is this app allows private citizens to rent their car without telling their insurance. So, that means citizen would be liable? And the app?

This is the equivalent of Airbnb allowing homeowners to rent their homes without telling their homeowner's insurance.
The platform does provide 3rd party liability insurance (This used to be through Liberty Mutual but may have changed) and allows rentees the ability to purchase additional protections per trip.

KRDO (Pikes Peak, Colorado News Station) reporting that there is a tie to Colorado Springs for the driver of the Trump Tower Vegas Tesla Cyber Truck attack.
Colorado Springs is home to the US Air Force Academy and NORAD
Cyber Truck allegedly left CO Springs on 12/30. Arrived in Vegas 1/1. Likely took the southern route, as the northern is steeper and typically has far more ski / snow traffic.
He must have stopped 2-3 times to recharge. My guess at the route is highlighted in orange.

Mentioned this earlier in thread, the media got their marching orders and inserted “catches fire” in most of headlines. They are all part of the criminal leftists.
Also, if this came from Colorado Springs and being a Tesla, wonder if whoever was behind these acts remote locked the doors so driver could not escape? That way they can’t talk.
