Will NEVER have peice through appeasement when your advisory's strategic plan is literally blowing themselves up in a civilian invironment. No fear from the leaders of that group that we will do anything except kiss their asses.

If you have a problem with my statement take it up with those who decided they no longer needed my service.

Shut up dumbass. CGSC is a stud retired Army officer who was forced out by our crappy system after more than twenty years of honorable service to this Nation.

You can probably remove the "stud" from that statement. I was competent.

I think you have me confused with someone else. I am a retired Army Officer.

I stand by what I said. Would be proud to serve by your side in any situation.

Appreciate the sentiment, but I'm often a bit too hot-headed for my own good. I've been working hard to curb it for a while.

We could swap stories brother. Nearly kicked out of ROTC because of my temper (bad, former 11B3O approach to all problem sets). Nearly got into a scuffle with a CPT when I was a 1LT (not good on my part, he baited me and I went right where he wanted me to). Almost got a GOMR for that.

One of the (many) reasons I was not selected for GO was my well known temper.

I nearly caused a mutiny in my Platoon because my Company Commander told me over the phone that my Platoon wasn't worth a shite. The First Sergeant was in the tent at the time and saw me throw my phone so hard it shattered. I told him what was said. Needless to say that after the commander heard it from top I heard it from him.

We never had any issues after that.

That same tour I confronted the Battalion Command Sergeant Major as a fairly new 2LT because one of my E4s had made points for 6 consecutive months but wasn't on any promotion list. 5 days later he made the E5 list.

17 years later the same NCO (E8) saw me in Korea and remembered what I did for him.

What I think you meant to say was, "so you were below O7".

Hooah.

We were conducting a BCT EDRE to Pohakuloa Training Area and our FSB S4 wanted me (acting SPO) to do a controlled part exchange between one of our HMMWV to a BCT HWWMV so it could return to Schofield. Our BMO told me not to do it, that it would require the signature of the BC. The S4 cursed me out and dared me to fight him. I came within an inch of doing it...

Ok, reading it a THIRD time I assume you were both Captains. He was completely in the wrong there.

I would have gotten my XO involved.
Unfortunately, we were the only two officers in the BN TOC, running the A/DACG. He was the battle captain and I was functioning as the SPO working BCT support issues. I had a week before gotten into it with the Charlie Company commander (my former assignment) and all of the captains in the BN were angry that the battalion commander supported me. Part of this was mission related (he wanted the HMMWV to be FMC so it could fly away) and part of it was personal (he was angry at me).

I took the bait.

Nah but I'm judging from a 1970-71 point of view. I'm told it's changed.

From what I can see now generals and colonels are politicians ... and that ain't a compliment.
