Of course the NPYD and the FBI BOTH made copies of the laptop hard drive . Because that's how investigations are ran. You don't monkey around with the original . A computer forensic team mirrors the hard drive and THAT is used for investigative purposes while the original is kept locked up tight for evidence in any future trials.
