I'm sure many of our resident Libs DID believe the story but were too afraid to say so.
Instead of taking a stand, they are usually content to say "well in Orange-Mans' America, this kind of thing happens all the time"...

Since this a-holes' credibility is total shot, I guess now would be the time for someone who has a legit beef with him to beat his azz .

The lawyer for the two Nigerians said that their 48 hour hold will expire today (Friday afternoon)(they were detained when they got off their flight from Africa Wednesday afternoon), and the lawyer expected charges to be filed before their release.

Nigeria is incredibly anti-homo. Does this somehow play in? There is of course a lot of other info to explain, like how they knew Smollett would be where he was when they "attacked" him. If Smollett had talked to one of them on the phone and let them know he was going there, or told them to meet them there, there should at least be a phone record, which the police have.
I think all the pieces are starting to come into place. It's possible that they attacked him for some reason, and if they did, Smollett has some explaining to do. But right now, it just seems way more likely that this was all staged.

Go back to the first reports, that had JS stuck in New York for four hours longer than he expected to be. Lots on pictures of him on his social media (copied onto news stories after the incident) showing him on the plane and going to be four hours late. IF something were planned, I could see a need for resetting a plan.
IF the Nigerians just happened to be going to fly to Nigeria the next day, it would have limited the time when they would be going to attack. IF. And a question, who bought their plane tickets and why did they only stay home for six days?

Didn't know that about his flight. And good point about them flying out the next day. I think we are going to get some answers on all this.
