Incidentally, the statue was a gift from France, a country engulfed in its own immigration nightmare.

Plus, the Statue of Liberty is pretty ridiculous when you think about it. I mean, can you see Trump giving another country an enormous landmark statue as a gift?

I agree that it could lead to not letting anyone at all in. Strangely, I'm ok with this. Let's make this country like a chik-fil-a.

I find her argument to be unpersuasive. We cannot make law based on a person's "feelings" any more than we can allow a judge to issue evidentiary rulings based on the flip of a coin.
