I think a lot of people are misreading the filibuster situation. Thune is a McConnell clone no doubt but I believe he made a deal with Schumer to not get rid of the filibuster if he doesn’t when the inevitably lose the Senate in the near future

The dems have already done away with the filibuster in the past amazes me people support negotiating with the Dems because they think they won’t do everything to get power. So naive.

I'm just disenfranchised with our political state. Dems are raving lunatics and the GOP are totally inept. So many are bought and paid for that it doesn't matter what we do. We as the middle class are stuck footing the bill for everything while nothing meaningful really happens. It's all a dog and pony show with the status quo as the results no matter who is there. A few grand stand and say what we are thinking but nothing changes. No one and I mean no one in Washington gives a frick about you or I. Simple as that.
The shittiest part is there is a damn thing we can do outside of voting literally everyone out, then passing term limits and no stock trading and etc. That will ever change anything. Politicians talk shite but vote different and do what their donors tell them to do.
