You're in District 9-- Al Green is unopposed. Don't be looking for a Republican challenger; he has his own page on the ballot by himself

Stats updated through today:
Total early voters: 132.272
Total mail-in ballot voters: 6,811 (today only 14 received, I know the math doesn't add up since yesterday's total was 6,803, but sometimes they revise prior numbers when they do an update).
Saturday and Sunday may see an uptick (though on Sunday we have only six hours of early voting vs. 12 the other days).

Definitely should be a Denton chapter of TD Deplorables with regular boils, tailgating and a Mardi Gras Krewe to crash the local parades!
I'd join a Krewe of Deplorables.

No real chance Cruz loses right? Polling shows him winning but close. I don’t see how he loses when Trump wins by a decent margin.

If he managed to win in 2018 a "blue wave" year, he'll get by again this year too with Trump at the top. Trump's margin should be strong enough to carry him even with some split ticket voting.

Allred is a candidate straight out of central casting. His background is impressive but he has no feel for how to move as a politician

Statewide, in Texas, through Day 3:
2,639,646 votes total.
In 2020, 11,150,473 people cast their vote in Texas, so this means Texas' voters that have already voted represent 1/4 of the total from 2020. Amazing!
Denton County, a very red county, has a high turnout at 20.99% (>1/5th) of registered voters. Only 1% of registered voters have voted by mail.
Harris County - a blue county, is underwhelming, so far, at only 10.07% of registered voters having voted, indicating a lack of enthusiasm. Vote by mail represents only 1% of registered voters.

Denton County stats updated through tonight:
Total early voters: 204,167
Total mail-in ballot voters: 7,641
It will be interesting to see what the weekend brings; will the weekend produce a spike in turnout, or was everyone so excited about voting early on the first two days?
PS--The number of voters has already caused Excel to be too large for me to open online.

Denton County stats updated through tonight:
Total early voters: 226,735
Total mail-in ballot voters: 8,848 (for some odd reason, the daily numbers keep getting revised after originally being posted, maybe they have to validate things first before reporting them)
Saturday's numbers were the lowest so far. With Texas having an early game and the A&M-LSU game being late, everyone must have decided to stay home. Today the Cowboys have the late afternoon game, plus our pools don't open until 11AM (Sunday has short hours compared to the other days).
But on Friday, our county became the first of the ten largest to crack the 30% participation rate!
