Savannah Guthrie was just awful. Maybe 1/1000th as bad as some Dems at the Kav hearing, and that's pretty bad.
I suddenly remembered a Savannah Guthrie story. Some years ago, my wife has the TV is on and Guthrie's doing some food segment on whatever morning show she's on. The chef is making parfaits I think - you know, fruit/filling and whipped cream layered into a nice wine glass. Nice crystal wine glass.
And Guthrie starts banging the metal spoon against the side of the glass to get some of the whipped cream off! The chef is reacting, and I'm yelling for my wife - look at this, a grown woman and she doesn't know you don't bang a metal spoon against the rim of a crystal wine glass!!??? What an idiot! She's really hitting it, you can see the chef wants to grab it from here, but before she can, of course - snap! Shattered glass all over!
We both just shook our heads - how does someone get through life and not know metal breaks glass? I was stunned. I mean, if they dragged a drunk homeless person off the street for the segment, OK, maybe they would not be aware. But an adult of even low intelligence wouldn't do this. I just shook my head. Weird.
