This will not move the needle at all for Ron

At least hes debating.

quote:

"I used to get along great with him when I was president. We got along really good, Gavin," Trump said.

"Wait, you got along with Gavin Newsom?!" Carlson shot back in astonishment. The host has long raged at Newsom and even recently warned on his broadcast that Newsom could be the Democrats' 2024 contingency plan if President Joe Biden falters.

"He was always very nice to me. He said the greatest things. He would say things like 'Oh, he's doing a great job,'" Trump added. "That's why I could never hit him because he was so nice to me.

Hes got a much better ideal than "he says nice things so I like him"

Newsom has nothing to lose, and he will spend the whole time throwing bombs. Also feels like Fox News is helping position Gavin to take over for Biden while throwing Ron under the bus.

All of this. They are legitimizing the democrats going outside normal process to get their candidate, meanwhile ron boys are cheering it on because Trump won’t debate.

When the time comes, Gavin won’t debate trump.

Ron boys are delusional that the media will treat candidates not named Trump differently.

Do y’all not remember the Bernie Sanders/Ted Cruz debate?

Debating is a good thing. Even if you don’t like the Republican debating because of your allegiance to Trump - he’s still pushing the agenda that you want and has and will fight against the left.

I actually think Gavin will debate Trump and it will be a good debate. Trump won't destroy Gavin as easily as he did Hillary because Gavin has less baggage than she did.

Gavin really is the best candidate Dems could run right now but I still think RFK Jr will take too much support away from them.

Rush Limbaugh, now that’s someone who could debate, because you knew he wasn’t scripted.

Politicians, who GAF?

You have it backwards. Its Trump who is scared to debate.

Vivek and Trump have both shown how to debate the establishment and maybe RFK Jr will too if given the chance. I have no idea why Ron isn't doing the same and instead is coming off as stale so far.

Ron can debate when he is off script and being himself. His team needs to see this and tell him to let loose.

People are tired of the same old talking points and "niceness"

Hell, it is even working for candidates in other countries. Look what Argentina just elected. That dude went off on the establishment there and won.

It doesn’t have to have anything to do with Trump. It doesn’t make sense because of the misalignment of interests between the two debating.

Desantis is running for president. Gavin is not (at least not publicly). Gavin hasn’t ever even been involved in federal politics. What is there to debate? How they governed completely different states on opposite sides of the country?

Maybe this would have made sense as a jumping off point for Ron’s campaign, but now?

Is Gavin doing this for free?

Yes?

Two of the most populous states in the country who handled things almost completely opposite in 2020 and the ramifications of doing so.

I don’t see what y’all see. How is more conversation a bad thing? I don’t see this as part of Ron’s campaign at all really.

It's just more paranoia that everyone is out to get DJT and this is part of the plan. Also resentment that DeSantis is cooperating with the "establishment," whatever that even is now.

I would rather see a steel cage match between Ron and Gavin.

I really don’t give a shite, just providing commentary.

I’ve said on this board many times I think Trump should debate. I have also said I like Desantis a lot and would be my preferred candidate. But I think he has run a poor campaign, specifically in terms of positioning. With that thought influencing my expectations, I will happily vote for Trump as I see that as the most realistic possibility.

I think the real question is why does it make you so mad anytime someone is remotely critical of Desantis?

The biggest risk to this debate is it elevates Newsome to a serious candidate and I don't really appreciate that out of Desantis.

Clearly not. Desantis would obviously “win” that debate and virtually any other one about how the state is run. It would be a bloodbath.

Gavin is not agreeing to a bloodbath.

I mean the poster in the OP says paid for Desantis for president. He is promoting it as part of his campaign. So you are wrong.

Right, without having to debate Biden. Which is why the ronboy fan club is blindly cheering it on, because Trump hasn’t done debates.
