Trump spent money BEFORE we knew it was nothing more than a cold virus. Biden continued spending AFTER we knew it was nothing more than a cold virus.

Big difference.

Being better than Biden is only relevant to the - who ya going to vote for question, and you'd have to be retarded or on public dole to not vote for Trump this November. But we're not discussing/debating who we should vote for. We're debating Trump's handling of Covid and it's weird AF to see conservatives make the argument you're making here.

What part of small government, rugged individualism and a requisite skepticism of everything government does leads you to wanting fedgov taking care of all of us because of a virus? Moreover, and even more to the point - If you're conservative, your starting position isn't "well, let's spend the money and lock shite down just in case it's a really awful virus".

Trump fricked 2020 all up. No excuses. We just need to hope/pray all the shite the Left has put him through has resulted in him growing an awareness and/or spine he didn't have in 2020.

I am not pretending that Trump did not have his hand in it but Biden took a flame thrower to it.

The big difference is that Trump pumped the supply side with low gas and energy prices, cleaning up a lot of the ossified regulations and fostering business. Biden is pumping the brakes on business, energy and adding a bunch of stupid regulations that make no sense at all.

The problem is that no matter who takes the reins it is going to take more than a term or two to get the ball rolling in the right direction. We are that screwed up now.

I'm more optimistic. Right now the investment climate is fearful of the future, but that will change knowing that pro-business pro-energy policies will happen as quickly as anti-business and anti-energy policies that Biden's leftist handlers had him sign on his first day.

IMO Trump doesn't have to fix everything to have a successful second term. He needs to reverse trends and make progress on the major issues like deficit spending and runaway gov't. Probably the only major issue he'd have to outright fix would be the border, and I think that's doable.

We're in agreement that Florida did pretty well.

DeSantis started out with the mainstream idiocy, but he really did his homework and veered to more of the Swedish model. Florida has a massive over 65 population, but unlike Cuomo, DeSantis made very good decisions to protect the elderly using the limited testing capability to quarantine the infected from nursing homes early on.

DeSantis became personally quite knowledgeable on covid, its risks and its transmission. Trump depended more on Fauci and the idiot medical fools craving power and the limelight.

Anybody that thinks that Trump is going to take office and within a year the economy is going to look like it did 4 or 6 or 7 years ago, I have some very bad news for you.

It's going to take a long time to clean Biden's messes up. I'm thinking 6-8 years.

You have to start with energy and then turn to resupplying the military.

....after he cleans out offices.
