Holy shite, don lemon in more manly than you.
Very low bar. I think most lesbians are more manly than Lemon.

It was never ruled against the law.
I never said it was, you dolt.
I invoked it in the exact same way it was historically used. From your own link:
quote:
So, the idea that you can’t yell fire in a crowded theater, Justice Holmes was using that as an analogy to simply say that free speech can’t go completely unchecked. And that idea has maintained it’s truth throughout the years. That’s still true.
quote:
incitement to violence is not protected speech.
Thus my second sentence.
You have obviously been carrying around that trivia link in your pocket for a long time, hoping to come across someone typing the words, "You can't yell fire in a crowded theatre," and when you saw it you nearly broke your fingers linking to the article.
Problem is, nobody really thinks that yelling "Fire" in a crowded theatre is specifically and literally against the law. My post obviously did not communicate that I think so, since Don Lemon didn't yell "fire" in a crowded theatre, but said something else entirely.
Everybody understands that it's an analogy to communicate that speech that directly incites violence or public unrest isn't protected.
You were trying to make yourself look smart. You accomplished the opposite.
