I was actually skeptical of the Aluminum foil working because a lot of the so called Faraday sold on Amazon do not work and the size of the electromagnetic waves on cellular frequency are pretty small.

Testing is pretty easy. Place your cell phone in the protective device and try to call your phone from another device. Obviously if you can hear the phone ringing, then the signal protection fails, because the signal obviously reached the phone you were trying to hide from the signal.

I actually had not tried it with Aluminum foil, but to my
surprise, after just trying it a few times, it did not ring, so it is obviously interfering with it.

I asked the wife if we are getting new picture frames for the wall, boom, next day nothing but ads when the laptop is opened.

Said I was throwing away the umbrella on the patio, boom, next day nothing but ads for umbrellas.

Your phone already says 10 minutes to work, or 15 minutes to Wal-Mart. That fricker is tracking and listening all the time

Just to mess with them, have a conversation about the next civil war.

Do we really want these two companies tracing our every step?

Do you own a smartphone using either iOS or Android?

seems they will be using Bluetooth to track every individual.

Bluetooth range is like 30 feet, tops. They're using Wifi, cell tower and GPS. Your phone has at least 3 radios, a microphone and any number of cameras on it.

Not only is your every move being tracked and recorded (and has been since you bought your first smartphone up to 13 years ago), but every thing you've said and many images of your life are also captured, tagged and associated with all that time.

Not a good enough test

They will ping off nearby wifi hotspots even if you never actually connect to them

The range and connectability is fluid

If you dont want to be tracked, leave the phone behind

Just to test this out also for fun. I set the phone up using a hotspot using wifi frequency rather than cell frequency to allow another device to connect to it. It is simple verify it's connection to the internet on that signal and phones network. Once the phone was wrapped in Aluminum foil, the second device could not longer connect to the phone on that wifi network.

I find this interesting, rather than a full proof scientific method to prevent tracking. Just simple devised test from probably someone's possible joke.
