Apparently, see my above post
Yeah I understood your post, I was just curious if it was definitive that he was wearing armor or if it's just speculation, that's all

You do if you want to hit him in the spine.

What? He had a vest on? I didn’t know that. I just assumed whoever shot him aimed specifically for the artery in his neck.
No. They either aimed at head and pulled trigger wrong, breathed wrong or the weapon wasn’t sighted. Or they did hit chest with a vest on. Charlie likely is sponsored by some body armor so it’s possible. At first it did look like chest.

Saw that but how does a round coming at a descending angle ricochet upwards from his chest?
It could if it hit the top of a plate

I think the shooter didn’t know their holdover

I’ve worn plates while in Afghanistan, and maybe things have changed, but I’ve never seen a round ricochet off of plates/vest. Those things absorb the impact.

J Solomon said earlier, what he heard, was that the bullet was a body shot, but it ricocheted off his vest into his neck, hitting the big artery.
I refuse to watch the video, any video like that. But Solomon is as solid as they come with his reporting. He’s the first one that I saw to break the news of Kirk dying. The speculation went on for almost an hour before any other outlets confirmed it.

Anyone who watched the close up video didn’t need to wait for confirmation.

200 yards from an elevated position is a layup for,any competent hunter or shooting enthusiast.

200 yds at .223 is pretty easy in prone on a vantage. Especially with a scope. Drop isn’t a problem it’s a direct shot at 3 feet + of body area with Charlie sitting down.

I have a hard time seeing how a ricochet hit that artery then hit his spine to cause him to lock up immediately. The trajectory of a ricochet just doesn’t make sense.

As have I. It would be a fluke thing for sure, but I've seen bullets do weird things.

RIP Charlie, you were a true patriot. Our country is better off because of your work and faith.

No way he had a vest on. None.
Also a thin vest isn’t stopping a rifle round anyway.
