Dollarization may be good in the long term, provided the peso stays stable for the short to mid term.

Still, the Argentines are famous for fukking up these things. I'd still hedge my bets down there and see what kind of deal we could get from the Brazilians who are much more reliable from a business end. Milei is in a precarious position because his party is a minority party so he has a coalition type of thing going on. He could keep his seats and still lose the mid terms if his allied parties lose out. Third in terms of #s in the Chamber of Deputies and Senate and NO governors on the state level.....he has a tightrope to walk

Good points. That's why we didn't cut them a check yet. At Milei's visit Trump explicitly said the currency swap is only an option if Milei wins the next election. He and the Treasury Secretary made clear that in no cirucmstances would we do a currency swap with them if the perionistas won

No you're not. You're being the typical pompous, pretentious, condescending, arrogant, smug liberal. You may spew the words, but you don't believe or practice them. Normally, I don't wish ill will on others but for you I'll make an exception.

To be a conservative, you sure act a LOT like a liberal. You're like the guy that walks, talks and acts like he drinks from the meat sickle fountain claiming that he's not gay.

Liberals dont want balanced budgets and fiscal responsibility. If you were a conservative, you would know this simple shite.

Your Orange Pumpkin doesnt understand economics. He wants Ranchers to "lower prices" while he works hard jacking up their expenses.

True, that's why I said ACT and not SPEAK/Talk. You spew the words, while acting like a liberal. Same as the guy in my example spews the words that he's straight while acting like a pecker puffer.

I raise cows. They are too high right now. I sold 11 calves right before the 4th of july for $17,120. Smallest was 400 lbs and biggest was 800 or so. I gladly took the money, but cattle prices that high leads to excessive price in the store.

As far as jacking up expenses, he hasn't jacked up any of my expenses. 50 lbs of sweet feed is about $12 a bag, if you buy 40 or more. If you buy it in bulk (without the bag), it's even less. If you are referring to John Deere tractors, ranchers/farmers don't need to buy tractors every year. While I own a couple newer Kubota tractors with loaders, I'm also still using a Massey Ferguson 175 that was built in 1971.

You wouldnt know the difference between liberal or conservative, because youre liberal and pretend to be conservative.

Fiscal conservatism has objective ideals, and I bet you cant name one without googling.

I'm not the one acting like a pomous, pretentious, condescending, arrogant, smug liberal a-hole. That would be you. Don't want to be called a liberal, don't act like one.

Currency swap is NOT spending any money.

You prefer Mexican beef, prices are high because no Mexican cows are coming to feedlots due a fly/worm in their herds.

Youre a progressive. A Democrat who prefers strongarm policies and expensive prices.

"Liberal" doesnt mean what you think it means

Much like how the dems who always call President Donald J Trump (still love typing that) a gnat see, authoritarian, dictator and would-be King are just projecting their own flaws on him, you are projecting yours on me... Another piece of evidence that you are a lib.

Let me ask you a couple of innocuous questions.
1) What do you make of Trumps quote telling Ranchers they need to get their prices down?

2) What do you think of Trump wanting to import Argentinian beef to get prices down?

3) How do you reconcile question two with Trumps tariifs?

Like I said before, cattle prices are too high right now. Ranchers/Farmers don't set the prices. Demand/Supply does.

Again, prices are too high because the supply is much lower than the demand. If Trump were to flood the market with triple the demand, that would hurt farmers/ranchers and greatly decrease price but I trust President Trump to not do that.

What tariff needs to reconciled? We don't buy grain from over seas (to feed cattle with). Ranchers/farmers don't need to buy tractors or equipment every year ( or even every couple years ). Those things last for decades if you maintain them. Farmers/ranchers buy equipment to have a tax deduction.

The only way I see tariffs adversely affecting me is with the Prucha banjo I intend to buy. It is made in the Czech Republic. The tariff right now is 15%. The instrument I have on order will be around 4200 euro's or $4880. Shipping will be $200 or so and the tariff right now will be $750 or so. Making the total price right around $5750 plus sales tax. I could buy a comparable American banjo for $4500 but I want a Prucha and will gladly pay the tariff.

I see you decided not to answer this question. Are you saying he's wrong?

I mean, he said he wanted to do that. Do you disagree with him?

Not tariffs, ideals.

Trumps wanting to do with beef what he thinks the Chinese are doing with cheap products in the USA. On one hand he understands the consumers angst, just not in the other.

It's incredible how non-responsive you guys get when the insults stop and you're asked to actually justify your positions.

Beef does not mean live cattle in this situation.

I was agreeing with Trump on all 3. Thought that was obvious. He is wrong about ranchers controlling prices, but that error is pretty insignificant. While prices going down will cut my profit some, I'm good with that. Trump is the president for all of America and needs to worry about everyone, not just farmers ranchers.

He did not say he wanted flood the market with 3 times the demand. He wants to increase the supply to balance with the demand and get prices down for all Americans. Yes, it will cut into my profit, but I can live with that.

No he's not. He sees Americans suffering because the supply can't meet the demand and wants to help all Americans. If I could go out to the pasture, wave a wand and have 10000 calves to sell id certainly do it. It would take several years to build up herds to meet demand.

Keep treating people like that and I might have to rethink the libtard stuff.
