Hopefully people aren't forgetting what Prog/Dim darling Bill Maher said just a few weeks ago, he's hoping for a severe recession to hurt Trump's chances of winning in 2020 and doesn't care how many working stiffs are impacted. More proof the Dims are the "whatever it takes" party.

These are the same people who decried lower tax returns while ignoring tax liability decreased and enlarged paychecks. They're also the same people who told us tax cuts were irresponsible and would kill millions. Let's not forget the economic stagnation prior to Trumps election and how job market is the best we've seen in many years.
But the economy is bemoaned at every chance. The only thing that can't compete for sheer lunacy is The Onion.

Actually there were several warnings of a real estate bubble collapse before the financial meltdown in 2008/2009. Funny thing is all the Wall Street gurus were telling everyone not to panic while they were pulling their money out of the market. Soros was telling everyone to avoid gold and other hard assets while he was loading up.
