I’m not a liberal. I’m solidly Republican. I think it’s a huge waste of money. And I’m passed that Trump gets to say a million times that Mexico will pay for it and then threaten to shut down the government if the US taxpayers don’t pay for it.
If you’re a conservative who believes in small government why would you want us to pay for a wall?
Pretty simple.
The cost to educate the children of illegal aliens is more than the cost of the wall every single year.
The cost that the rest of us pay in higher medical costs because of free emergency room visits from illegal aliens is higher than building 10 walls every single year.

We have water between us and other countries/continents, that hasnt stop us from leaving.
Oh really? I assume you meant flying correct? How do you plan on getting on a commercial airliner without having to get passed the TSA?
Again, a wall that is effective at keeping people OUT will be equally effective at keeping people IN. We have the Obama admin weaponizing the IRS to attack political groups. The IRS has a documented policy of preventing citizens from leaving the country for "tax purposes" as I have linked above. Is it really a big leap for yall to foresee an administration that isn't friendly to you abusing this power?
There are so many other things that we could do to help alleviate the immigration issues with our southern neighbors that don't cost us money and don't limit our ability to travel. I'd much rather explore those than this boondoggle.
