The Democrats kind of fricked it up. They put all of these abortion constitutional amendments on state ballots while at the same time claiming that abortion rights are going to be completely taken away by those nasty Republicans.

So, people saw that they would actually have a voice in with their state's abortion laws would be and had to come to the realization that this is how democracy works. They were able to vote on the abortion issue, and the Democrats look like complete fricking frauds for claiming that, the Handmaid's Tale was the dystopian vision of the future.

It also stripped it of being a partisan issue of who the vote was for. They could vote on that one issue independently, instead of a candidate they may not have wanted to vote for.
I don't know how many states the issue was on the ballot. But I think it lost HarriBalz a pretty decent amount of votes.
