I could do more research. Don’t know much about the murder. Just the accusation Trump hired a card counter to try and tilt the odds further in the houses favor.

As far as I know it wasn't anything illegal. He did hire a card counter as a consultant who advised him to let the guy that was winning all this money keep winning and over a long enough timeline he would lose it all in a high stakes game....which he did. And Trump never got his money back because some Yakuza gangsters murdered the guy (guessing he owed them money too
)
