Perdue is irrelevant and a RINO.
He may be a RINO but he's not irrelevant. His family name plays well in the Georgia "Black Belt" where his cousin Sonny helped black farmers as Ag Sec, then governor, then Trump ag sec, and David has kept that up for them. Rural blacks vote red in higher numbers in GA than any other state because of the Perdue name.

You need to come to the realization Georgia is gone. Atlanta metro is completely blue and the city is still growing. There isn't anything holding it from staying red.
It's like Colorado and Virginia and arizona is on its way there as well.
With mail in voting any purple state is now firmly favored for Dems.
Eh, I think Georgia is in trouble, but I think 2022 is a legit shot to get that seat back for 6 years.
For all our giving up on GA (me included), Trump was highly-polarizing and almost won it nonetheless. Two shite senators almost won against two heavily-backed national candidates.
Until/unless there is a big realignment and shift in this country, I agree on the GA trajectory. But that doesn't mean we can't throw up some roadblocks.

Those roadblocks must include a full cease and desist of welcoming liberal companies and migration from liberal states into Georgia along with the tax goodies they give them.
Is it really so shocking that the laissez faire mindset of growth for the sake of growth turned out to be an electoral disaster in the long run?

Sure, but a lot of our conservative governance "wins" relate to that stuff. I'd trade business might/success for staying a red state too, but I'm guessing it's not terribly easy to straddle that line and have the record of success needed to keep winning elections.

It really is the best example of how there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.
We're need to have a very hard correction to stop the trend Georgia is on right now and what that looks like, I don't know.
