I honestly believe that 9 times out of 10 when someone uses the phrase "occam's razor says..." on the internet, they have no fricking clue what it actually is or how to apply it.
I generally don't care much for it anyways, to be honest. Yes, it's useful for reasoning through things, but it's not some sort of end-all be-all to get to the truth of a matter.
